About

Shivika Chawla, social and brand strategist, placeholder portrait, pending a professional photograph

"Give me one good question and I'll give you the full story, two tangents, and a plan." When I was little, the only complaint my parents ever got at parent-teacher meetings was that I talked too much. I turned that complaint into a 7-year long stint instead. The people I've worked with, and the people close to me, will tell you the same thing: my real skill is talking, and I've learned to lean into it. It actually makes my instinct work better than the algorithm (on most days at least.) My work moves between three markets that rarely speak the same cultural language: London, Dubai and Delhi. I've learned what stays constant and what needs saying differently, and I like the puzzle of it more than I probably should. The strategy ends up feeling native wherever it lands, without losing the brand underneath it. I lead teams, but I'm still very much a student of the field. An MSc in Luxury Business Management (and a HubSpot certification I'm nowhere near finished with) will tell you which one wins on any given day. My process looks like organised chaos from the outside: several open tabs, a sticky-note system only I understand, and quiet (but heartfelt) gratitude to Canva, Notion, and Asana for making sure the deliverables land on time anyway.

Point of view

Heritage brands lose the most when they are translated for digital audiences carelessly. The work is to carry the craft into the feed without cheapening it. Proof of the hand behind the garment, not noise around it.
